How to change the bulb on the Volkswagen Buggy display

Depending on the year of discharge, the procedure may vary slightly. It is possible that some covers or screws differ. Here is therefore the logic to be followed in general.

  • Start with remove the covers of the front panel which prevent access to the display. You can use a flat screwdriver to pry in the grooves. You may need to remove some screws. In this case, keep them preciously aside.
  • Once the facade has been completely removed, you must disconnect connectors which connect to the clock bulb of the Volkswagen Buggy. You can therefore remove all the connectors from the block, provided you remember the location. Help yourself by taking photos if necessary.
  • Normally you can have access to the damaged bulb. Gently remove the bulb of the clock.
  • Compare the new bulb with the previous one. The latter should be similar in terms of base and volume. The tension as well, of course.
  • Place the new bulb by checking that it is located at the bottom of its socket.
  • Replace the connectors in their location.
  • Replace all of the front covers.
