Clutch and steering are the two mechanical systems that the motorist controls. One, however, is used to damaging faster than the other: it is the clutch device of course. Obviously with the gearbox, which goes with it. It happens rather regularly that gearshift problems occur on the + str (XXX) +. And even if the clutch is regularly involved, it sometimes happens that we are surprised at the source of the problems. In addition, it sometimes avoids changing the complete kit. Here are consequently the gear change issues the most regular.
+ str (XXX) +: Impossible to pass one of the speeds
It happens from time to time that one of the gears does not pass any more. Or only even or odd speeds. In this situation, the clutch is damaged. However, this is not inevitably linked to the entire clutch kit or gearbox of your + str (XXX) +. It happens that the concern comes from a link or a rubber which holds it. The problem may still come from the gearbox. It can be removed to check that no external component is blocking it. If the latter is damaged, you must change it.
Unable to shift gear once the + str (XXX) + engine is running
Unfortunately, this is a fairly common concern. Since the engine is off it is possible to shift your gears, this implies that the gearbox of your + str (XXX) + is operational. Once the engine is running, it is impossible. The problem stems from the clutch. In general it will be advisable to replace the complete clutch kit. You can try to disassemble it and check the condition of each of the parts. As a reminder, it is advisable to replace the clutch every 150 km.
+ str (XXX) +: no speed passes
If none of the gears are working, the engine off or in working order, it's really unpleasant. The first thing to check is the state of the gearbox of your + str (XXX) +. There is a good chance that the latter is HS. To understand where the problem comes from, it's relatively simple. If you can push the lever into the guide of one of the speeds, but the speed does not engage, it is the clutch which certainly presents a problem. If the lever seems to be stuck and you cannot push it, the problem certainly comes from the gearbox. In both cases, you will most certainly need to replace one or more parts.
